This weekend past we had a fantastic blast in the Land O' Lincoln.
Chicago was first where we had the pleasure of tearing it up at Red Line Tap in Rogers Park. The venue was exemplary of Chicago's charm and needless to say we blew the roof off the place. We enjoyed some fine folks and tasty eats at the Heartland Cafe which operates next door in tandem with Red Line Tap. I also tried Malort for the first time, it was... interesting (awful). I find it odd that after so many trips to Chicago this is the first I had heard of this strange liquor, though perhaps this can be attributed to its rather distinct taste. Of course I felt obliged to indulge in a local staple and it is fair to say I may not again for a long time. Good times as always in the Windy City.
Peoria was next on the list of locations to be rocked. It was a stellar evening at the Limelight Eventplex where the crowd was warm and hungry for a dose of killer tunes. Peoria is fast becoming a favorite town for us to visit. The people are outstanding in their kindness and receptive attitude. It is places like this that give us extra encouragement and the feeling that our mission of rocking faces off is a very much worthwhile endeavor. We love you Peoria, long live rock 'n roll!
The third installment for the weekend was a return to Macomb, IL and the premier venue of the Midwest: The Outskirts. Can't say enough about this absolutely outstanding room. It boasts one of the most beautiful stages I've ever played on; incredible sound and light systems, the food is spectacular, and total professional atmosphere. We truly get the royal treatment when we play here and it is a pure pleasure. If you live in the area, do yourself a favor and get here for a show asap!
That'll do for the moment. Next weekend it's another bender of shows on an East Coast tip.
Til next time,
Ty

I, along with my husband and 9 year old daughter caught your wonderful show at the Limelight Eventplex. It was our 9 year olds second concert at the Limelight, and we are thankful you played there so she could attend. She was the one sitting dead center singing every song off your World on Fire album. She had so much fun, and so did I. It was nice for her to be able to sing to your album without her sisters telling her to stop, and asking her to change the music. I am sure it will be a very memorable moment in her life. You guys set her up with several albums, a t-shirt (which she wore to bed that night), and even a guitar pick (currently her prized possession). She was hesitant to climb on the stage when you offered the drumsticks for her to help play drums. She can get pretty wild and we had set forth some rules before arriving for the show. One was "no twerking", and another was "do not get on stage". You really made her night! Many thanks to you for your great live show and generosity.
I fell in love with your music after Adam Kelley of Drugs Delaney passed your World on Fire cd along to my husband, who then passed it to me. I listen to music all day long and have my current Pandora station dedicated to 28 North. I was so glad you played The Shine that night, as it is currently one of my favorites and sounded divine live. This was the second time I have seen you live, and I can not express how much I enjoy your live performance! I love the emotion in portrayed Michael's vocals, and the catchy sing along lyrics. I am excitedly awaiting your new album, and the next time you come around this way.
Thank you for all your hard work and effort you put into your music. And thanks for playing in Peoria IL.
